Question by thomashonecker: I am new to web design and I need a little advice from experience web designers?
I first had a problem getting my web pages to look good at different screen resolutions, It wasn’t looking good at a resolution of 800 x 600, I haven’t learned css to much. I learned to make the containing element with a width of 700-760 px and design with in those boundaries. I did that and the pages look good but now I have another question. Even though the pages look good at 1024x 768 they are rendered to the left side of the screen I am trying to get the pages to display dead center of the screen at 1024 x 768 or large I have tried on my own and haven’t been too successful. I have seen other web page on-line dead center at different resolutions when I look at the source and I see css code, as I mentioned I don’t really know css and I am still trying to learn Dreamweaver and photoshop I don’t want to get over whelmed so what could I do to have my page display center good at 800 x 600 and centered at 1024 x 768 or larger? Thanks in advance.

Put everything in a table and set the width and height to 100%. This will always fit the website to the screen no matter the resolution.
